NYMTC: TIP Amendment Public Comment Period: July 18, 2012 through July 27, 2012

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) announces a public comment period for a proposed amendment to the Federal Fiscal Years 2011-2015 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  The public comment period will begin on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 and end on Friday, July 27, 2012.

The proposed amendment programs funding for the following new projects:

Safe Streets for Seniors and Access Improvements, Citywide
Assistance for ADA Complementary Paratransit Service, Nassau County
NY25 Pavement Rehab Project (Old County Road-Tucker Lane), Suffolk County
NY25 Pavement Rehab Project (Tucker Lane-Orient Point), Suffolk County
NY27 Pavement Rehab Project (County Line-N Monroe Ave), Suffolk County

The proposed amendment reprograms funding from the following projects:

Grand Central/Van Wyck Interchange Drainage Improvement Study, Queens
Brooklyn-Queens Expressway Cantilever Reconstruction, Brooklyn
Parkway and Interstate Pavement Project: Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens
Bruckner/Sheridan Interchange Improvements, Bronx
Bridge Inspection (Funding in follow-on inspection project), Citywide
