Christopher Greif, new member of the NYCTRC

At its September 2010 meeting the NYCTRC welcomed its newest member, Chris Greif.  Chris was nominated by Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and appointed by Governor David Paterson.

Chris is a passionate transportation advocate for seniors and people with disabilities.  He currently serves as a member of the Brooklyn Borough President’s Advisory Committee on Disability Issues; and Executive Assistant to the Brooklyn Family Support Service Advisory Council.

Chris has been a regular attendee and contributor at the Council’s meetings and it was great to see the addition of his familiar face to the membership.  He graduated from Sheepshead Bay High School, Class of 2004 with a New York State IEP Certificate Diploma.  While there he received numerous outstanding student awards.

Chris replaces Sharon Santa Maria who recently resigned due to her retirement from the Council on the Environment of NYC (now know as growNYC).  Sharon served on the NYCTRC for 13.5 years and her long, dedicated service is greatly appreciated.
