NYCT Summer Bus Service

If you keep increasing headways, you’ll keep reducing ridership — it’s a self-fulfilling prophesy. 15 minutes between buses on the M55 is bad enough: no one’s going to wait 20 minutes for a bus if they don’t have to, which means fewer riders and ultimately, fewer buses.
Giving a community board 30 days notice of a change, with the only recourse of coming to the MTA meetings, is not public involvement. Changes that affect the public should allow time for the public to comment on the changes, and allow for a real dialogue.
