Funding and Fixing the Subways; Keep the Conversation Going

Speaker Johnson spelled out an ambitious proposal for taking over the city’s subways, buses and Staten Island Rail, along with the TBTA and its toll revenues.  As he said,  it’s a conversation starter. The continued focus on finding funding to fix the system – New York City Transit, the LIRR and MNR – is key, especially now, as Albany considers the budget.  Finding reliable and sustainable funding is critical to ensure that the more than eight million daily riders can get where they’re going safely and without delay.

Let’s continue the conversation, but keep the focus on finding funding to make the MTA the world class system New Yorkers deserve.
