Statement of the Permanent Citizens Advisory Committee to the MTA
Before the MTA Board

I spoke at the NYC Transit Committee meeting Monday about Howard Roberts’ two and one half years as President of NYC Transit. While in the interest of time I won’t repeat the list of positive changes for the riders that he has initiated, I do want to thank him publicly before this Board for consistently focusing on transit riders’ experience in the system and working to improve that experience. The positive impact of the initiatives that you have overseen will continue to be felt in the transit system for many years. We thank you for your leadership and the consideration that you have shown the NYC Transit Riders Council and the PCAC. In sum, we can simply say that that the Transit system is better for you having led it the last two and one half years, and for that you have our deep respect and appreciation.
