NYCTRC Goals

  • Increase the visibility and public recognition of the NYCTRC.
  • Undertake several research projects annually.
  • Remain an outspoken source for the transit rider, guided by input from riders.
  • Host one bus and one subway forum annually.
  • Strengthen public understanding of the mission and functions of the Council
  • Make better use of media outlets to publicize NYCTRC events.
  • Continue to recommend ways for New York City Transit to improve service and increase efficiency without cutting service; and to effectively communicate these recommendations to NYCT.
