Goals

Increase the visibility and public recognition of the NYCTRC
Undertake several research projects annually
Remain an outspoken source for the transit rider, guided by input from riders
Host one bus and one subway forum annually
Improve the Council's working relationship with New York City Transit and restore regular meetings with President Reuter
Strengthen public understanding of the mission and functions of the Council and reduce public confusion of the Council with the Straphangers Campaign
Make better use of media outlets to publicize NYCTRC events
Continue to recommend ways for New York City Transit to improve service and increase efficiency without cutting service and to effectively communicate them to NYCT
