Period:   April 16, 2012 through April 25, 2012

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) announces a public comment period for a proposed amendment to the Federal Fiscal Years 2011-2015 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  The public comment period will begin on Monday, April 16, 2012 and end on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.

The proposed amendment deletes funding programmed for the following projects on
Long Island:

080883 – Innovative transit project for new bus service by private operators
093292 – Railroad crossing warning signal at South Haven Road, Brookville
093426 – Railroad crossing warning signal at East Gate Drive, Town of Huntington
093427 – Railroad crossing warning signal at Waverly Avenue, Town of Brookhaven
093428 – Railroad crossing warning signal in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, FFY 2011
093429 – Railroad crossing warning signal in Nassau and Suffolk Counties, FFY 2012

The proposed amendment programs New York State funding for informational purposes as part of New York Works Accelerated Pavement Preservation Program in the New York City area:

XM1249 – Maintenance Repair and Resurfacing: Prospect and West Shore Expressways
XM1250 – Maintenance Repair and Resurfacing: Major Deegan Expressway
