NYMTC Notice of Comment Period for Proposed TIP Amendment 5/16-5/25/2012

Topic:      Proposed Transportation Improvement Program Amendment

Period:   May 16, 2012 through May 25, 2012

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) announces a public comment period for a proposed amendment to the Federal Fiscal Years 2011-2015 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  The public comment period will begin on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 and end on Friday, May 25, 2012.  The actions contained in the proposed amendments include:

Consolidation of projects as part of New York Works Program on the Brooklyn-Queens ExpresswayX73124 – Replacement of Kosciuszko Bridge over Newton Creek, Contract 1
X73125 – Replacement of Kosciuszko Bridge over Newton Creek, Contract 2

Reprogramming funding for three projects in the New York City area
X77216 – Reconstruction of Pedestrian Walkways in the Bronx (Reprogram funding to another pedestrian project in the Bronx per TIP Action NYC12-U)
X77227 – Pedestrian Improvement around NY Public Library, NYC (Program funding for a construction phase)
X77233 – Reconstruction of Empire Boulevard in Brooklyn (Program funding for design and construction phases)
