Comment Period Is Open for Amendments to the NYMTC 2014-2018 TIP

 Topic:       Proposed Transportation Improvement Program Amendments Affecting 31 Projects

Period:     December 11, 2014 through December 23, 2014

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) announces a public comment period for proposed amendments to the Federal Fiscal Year 2014-2018 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The comment period begins on Thursday, December 11, 2014 and ends at 4 pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2014.

The amendments propose programming Section 5324 emergency relief funding for eight MTA New York City Transit projects, two MTA Long Island Rail Road projects and a New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) ferry project. Additionally, the amendments propose programming local funding for nine NYCDOT Select Bus Service projects. Eleven other changes are also proposed for projects throughout the NYMTC area. The comment period provides the opportunity for public feedback on the proposed changes to the TIP. Comments are due in writing by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 to:
