Goals
- Increase the visibility, public awareness and recognition of the MNRCC
- Host one President's forum annually * Undertake one or two research projects annually
- Work to have vacant MNRCC positions filled * Be an active voice for all MNR commuters
- Evaluate, discuss and make recommendations to the annual operating and capital budgets to improve service, safety, and increase efficiency without cutting service
- Identify areas of concern and report to Metro North management on an ongoing basis
- Invite MNR management staff to monthly meetings to strengthen our relationship and ensure our exchange of information on projects, initiatives, and problems is communicated and documented
- Continue to evaluate and make recommendations on the proposed merger of the MTA railroads
- Address more "cross border" issues through closer coordination with New Jersey and Connecticut
