The Long Island Rail Road Commuter's Council (LIRRCC) was created by the
New York State Legislature in 1981 to represent the official voice of
LIRR riders. Our twelve volunteer members are appointed by the Governor
upon the recommendation of the Nassau and Suffolk County Executives, and
the Brooklyn and Queens Borough Presidents.

Council Reports
LIRR Research Project/Report Cards
The LIRRCC undertakes a project rating the rail road`s
services each year. For many years, the Council conducted its LIRR Report
Card ridership survey, but currently the Council's practice is to conduct
annual projects that focus on a specific area of concern. Project reports
are available on request, and the results of the most-recent projects
are available for download in PDF format. Please see our research
reports page.
LIRRCC Annual Report
The council reports to the public regularly on its recent activities.
You may browse our latest annual report
, or view an archive of all PCAC
and past council quarterly reports.
Annual Public Forums
Every year, the Council sponsors a public forum
at which riders are given the opportunity to speak directly with the LIRR
President and senior management regarding aspects of railroad service
and policy.
2007: March 7, 2007.
